Within the official visit to the United States, Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili held meeting with the President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barosso on Monday. The sides discussed Georgia`s relations with the European Union and the intensification of cooperation.
The presidents discussed the details of the agreement on readmission, which will be signed later this month. The sides also spoke about the free trade relations of Georgia with EU and cooperation in the energy sector.
Within the official visit to New York, Georgian president met another meeting with the president of Croatia. After the meeting, it was reported that Mr. Ivo Josipovi?‡ would visit Georgia soon and discuss bilateral cooperation of Georgia and Croatia in economic sphere with Georgian authorities.
