Orthodox Christians celebrate the Birth Day of Virgin Mary on September 21. At every Orthodox Church in Georgia, the day began with holy service today. Catholicos Patriarch Ilia II conducted service in the Didube Virgin Mary Church of Tbilisi.
The Holiday is of particular significance for Orthodox Christians, because it is the first holiday of the Church Calendar.
