Rompetrol Georgia expresses its gratitude to medical personnel fighting against the pandemic and will provide lunch for medical staff working at the Covid clinics.
Rompetrol will implement this project with the involvement of Amo-Ra cafe, where 1000 lunchboxes will be prepared for sending out to the clinics. The lunchboxes will be accompanied by thank-you messages on behalf of each employee of Rompetrol Georgia, so that every employee of Rompetrol will be able to personally thank the dedicated doctors and nurses working at the Covid Clinics and Fever Centers.
The Rompetrol Georgia team obtained the amount necessary for the project implementation - GEL 13000, by winning the Rompetrol international New Year competition. The contest was participated by all those countries where Rompetrol operates.
Rompetrol organizes a grand New Year's event every year in Romania which is participated by up to 5000 employees from different countries. Due to the Covid pandemic, this year's event took on an unusual format. It was held online, where all the countries have presented the competitive videos with the participation of the employees, on the following topic: "Rompetrol Family, Togetherness, Care, Christmas". Certain amount of budget was allocated for the winning country to carry out the charitable activity it coveted for and which should have been presented by the countries before the launch of the competition. The Rompetrol Georgia team has chosen to support and express gratitude to the medical personnel fighting against the Covid pandemic as a preferable charity direction,” said Teona Shalamberidze, Marketing Manager at Rompetrol Georgia.
The Rompetrol Georgia team, like other countries, presented a competition video at the online event created with the participation of employees, which won by receiving the majority of the votes.
"The main character of the competitive video clip is our gas station operator who is waiting for the Christmas at the petrol station alone, while on duty, but his sad mood suddenly changes when Rompetrol employees unexpectedly join him and celebrate Christmas with him," the company said.
Rompetrol Georgia has implemented other projects aiming at supporting the medical sector during the pandemic. Within its corporate social responsibility, the company contributed to the fight against Covid 19 and delivered 60000 liters of fuel free of charge to the Emergency Situations Coordination and Urgent Assistance Center in April and May. In December, Rompetrol helped the Feristsvaleba nursing home and donated 500 liters of fuel, thus, ensuring seamless implementation of one of the institution’s priority project during the pandemic that is Home Care Program.
