/UKRINFORM/. Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has held phone conversations with President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy and President of the European Parliament Jerzy Buzek, the press service of the Ukrainian president reported on Thursday.
The parties discussed preparations for the signing of an agreement establishing a free trade area between Ukraine and the EU, the issues on the agenda of a bilateral summit that will be held in Kyiv on November 22, 2010, as well as the political situation in Ukraine after the Constitutional Court's decision to repeal the amendments to the constitution of 2004.
The sides also stressed the need to continue conducting joint work to successfully hold the EU-Ukraine summit.
