Chairman of the Association of National News Agencies of Black Sea Region Gocha Mirtskhulava, accompanied with editor-in-chief of Georgian "GHN" news agency Tehmuraz Chumburidze, arrived in Yerevan October 10.
The guests visited "Armenpress" news agency, got acquainted with the activity of the latter, with its plans for future, technical opportunities, as well as discussed with agency's Executive Director Hrayr Zoryan the opportunities of implementation of joint programs. During the visit Mr. Mirtskhulava and Chumburidze visited the Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin, the Ancient Manuscripts Institute after Mesrop Mashtots, and Parajanov House-Museum.
The Black Sea Association of National News Agencies has been founded in 2006 and currently includes national news agencies of 14 countries. Among the regulatory goals of the association are establishment of cooperation and atmosphere of mutual trust, free exchange and spread of information, uncovering of programs implemented collaboratively by the countries of the region.
"Armenpress" is among the founding members of the international organization.
