Russia is prepared for productive dialogue on any issue put forth at the Geneva international negotiations and hopes that the environment at the discussions will be constructive - the statement released by the Russian Foreign Ministry says.
According to the statement, the key request of the Russian side is to urge Georgia sign the agreement on non-resumption of fire against Abkhazia and South Ossetia. Russia also wants to let the international society see the humanitarian problems from the position of Sokhumi and Tskhinvali, who have no possibility to deliver these problems to international community themselves.
Abkhazian puppet leader Sergey Baghapsh says he expect hard talks at the next round of Geneva negotiations especially after the clear and strong support demonstrated to Georgia in this process by the Secretary General of the United States Hillary Clinton last week. In addition, Abkhazia refuses to discuss Georgia`s new strategy towards the occupied regions.
`We understand that whatever is the appearance of the document, it is against the state of Abkhazia,` Baghapsh has said.
