The next, 14th round of talks on a free trade area between Ukraine and the European Union will be held in early December this year, the press service of Deputy Minister of Economy Valeriy Piatnytsky reported, informs GHN referring to UKRINFORM.
During the 13th round of talks that ended Friday, the European side provided for the study of the Ukrainian side its proposals on access to the services market.
October 6, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said that Ukraine and European Union have a compromise solution on the association and free trade agreement. The Prime Minister also announced that a free trade agreement between Ukraine and EU will be prepared by the next EU-Ukraine summit, which will be held on November 22 in Brussels.
Ukraine and the EU began negotiations on an association agreement March 5, 2007, and negotiations on a free trade area started on February 18, 2008.
At the Ukraine-EU summit on September 9, 2008, it was decided that the new agreement will be named the Association Agreement and will include the establishment of a free trade zone.
