The issue of Georgia remains as one of the main differences in the relations of Russia and Great Britain - British Foreign Secretary William Hague announced after meeting with the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
In the interview with the Novaya Gazetta newspaper, Hauge said that he reminded Russian counterpart that Russia should comply with the terms of the French-brokered ceasefire agreement signed after the brief war in Georgia in August 2008.
The British minister expressed his hope that Russia would fulfil the obligations taken with international agreements. He also said for all interested sides Russia`s intensive and constructive participation in the European security issues was very important.
