Georgia`s Catholicos Patriarch Ilia II conducted a holy mass dedicated to the Day of Svetitskhoveli in the Saint Trinity Cathedral last night. The delegations from foreign Orthodox Churches, who arrived to take part in the Holidays of Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, attended the rite too.
In the preachment after the mass, His Holiness addressed the Abkhaz and Ossetian people and said that God`s Mercy would save and unite Georgia.
`Svetitskhoveli is the Mercy of god and this Mercy will cover whole Georgia and each of its children. I want to address our sisters and brothers living in Abkhazia and Tskhinvali Region, Svetitskhoveli is Great Mercy and this Mercy should protect you too. This Mercy will save and unite us,` His Holiness announced.
