On 15 October 2010, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov, in the frames of his official visit to Georgia, met with his Georgian counterpart Grigol Vashadze.
At the meeting the sides discussed topical issues of cooperation in the bilateral and multilateral formats between Georgia and Azerbaijan, underlined the importance of existing strategic relations between the two countries in the process of insuring security and stability strengthening and identified priorities of further development of the existing relations.
The Ministers welcomed the activation of consultations with the EU on the association agreement in the frames of the `Eastern Partnership`.
The same day, the meetings with the President of Georgia and the Prime-Minister of Georgia are planned to be held.
