After 26-month occupation the Georgian side fully controls the village of Perevi, Sachkhere district of Georgia's Imereti region (Perevi has remained invaded since the August 2008 Georgian-Russian war), EU monitors are stationed at the checkpoints left by Russian forces.
The Russian armed forces took away the equipment and vacated the set checkpoints.
The de-mining works have been underway. Representatives of the European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMM) are also present in the village.
The decision about Russian army's pullout was made at the13th round of internationally mediated Geneva talks held on October 14.
