As part of the Yalta meeting of the CIS Council of Defense Ministers, Ukrainian and Russian defense ministers Mykhailo Yezhel and Anatoliy Serdyukov have signed a protocol on providing information about the total number of personnel and major weapons of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, temporarily based in the Crimea, south of Ukraine.
Under the document, such information will be provided annually until January 1 and will contain, inter alia, the total number of personnel, the number of combat and surface ships, submarines, military boats and auxiliary vessels, armored combat vehicles, aircrafts, certain types of 100-mm gun weapon systems and more, 82-mm mortars and more.
Russian Defense Minister Anatoliy Serdyukov said another document will be signed soon - an agreement on replacing military equipment of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, located in the territory of Ukraine.
