Vice President of the company Intel, General Manager of Intel World Ahead Program, John Davies and Regional Manager in Central Asia and Caucasus, Dmitri Cissell are paying an official visit to Georgia by the invitation of MES. In the scope of the visit, Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Dimitri Shashkini and Vice President of Intel, John Davies signed a Memorandum on the project Computers for Everyone.
Both parties, acknowledging meaning of IT in the social-economic development of Georgia, came to an agreement to support the public in purchasing personal computers in a favorable price.
In the scope of the Memorandum, new project will be launched. The project is designed to give all groups of society opportunity of buying desired computer or notebook in a special price.
In order to stimulate economic development, corporation Intel supports accessibility of the informational technologies. Every year, modern technologies, high speed internet connection, advanced health care system and high quality education become accessible for various social groups and the people of different ages with the assistance of Intel programs. From now on, Georgia will join this program and informational technologies will be available for all groups of society.
On the same day, an Agreement on Cooperation was signed between MES and Microsoft in order to support implementation of the project Computers for Everyone.
