Doctors will be fined for making individual deals with pharmaceutical companies - the government of Georgia will launch special measures to regulate the incompatibility of interests in the medical sphere. According to a new draft law, which will be proposed to parliament by the government soon, the doctors will be prohibited to promote the medications produced or imported by specific pharmaceutical companies, for which they have been so far enjoying bonuses. The doctors will be also prohibited to sign prescriptions on the blanks with the logo and seals of specific companies. Instead, the doctors will be obliged to propose a wide choice of medicines to patients.
The parliament of Georgia will begin to discuss the draft law in a few weeks.
