Georgian Code of Administrative Violations will be amended soon. The detective of the Interior Ministry announced the details of the amendments at the briefing today. Ramaz Tkebuchava said the amendments would be brought to force from December 1, 2010.
He said the ministry experts learnt the standards of vehicle glass darkening with sticky tapes and decided to impose similar standards in Georgia. According t the amendments, from December 1, 2010, the owners of vehicles will be obliged to have side glasses darkened only with 40%; darkening of the front glass will be prohibited; no restrictions will be imposed on darkening back glasses of vehicles. The owners of the cars, who violate the standards, will be fined with 50 GEL.
Another amendment to the Code is that the drivers and the passengers sitting on the front seat will be obliged to have the safety belts fastened. Those who drive without safety belts fastened will be fined with 40 GEL.
