President Viktor Yanukovych of Ukraine has congratulated Turkish President Abdullah Gul on the 87th anniversary of the Turkish Republic proclamation.
"I would like to mention your personal contribution to strengthening the international authority of Turkey at the present stage of its development," the message reads.
As the press service of the President reported, Viktor Yanukovych stressed that today Turkey is an influential and important stabilizing factor in the Black Sea region, a reliable political and economic partner of Ukraine.
The President noted that the Ukrainian side is set to intensify joint efforts to develop mutually beneficial cooperation for taking bilateral relations to the level of strategic partnership.
