Young Georgian rugby players were greeted with ovations and applaud at the Tbilisi international airport late last night. Georgian youth rugby team under 19 has become champion of Europe. The youth team defeated Russia 38:7 in final and won the IRB Junior World Rugby Trophy 2011.
Russian sportsmen could gain none of scores in the first half time of the game and the score was 24:0.
Losaberidze, Tkhilaishvili and Abramidze of the Georgian team kicked the points, which was increased by Mchedlishvili`s penalty and three conversions.
The sportsmen dedicated the game to Georgian heroes who died in the fight for Georgia`s unity. Along with becoming the champion, the team has gained the right to take part in the World Cup tournament next year.
