Imereti, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti Regional Main Police Division and the officers of the Chiatura Department of the Interior Ministry arrested two persons suspected of being members of `criminal world`- Givi Khvedelidze and Andro Megrelishvili nicknamed Qimsa. The latter was convicted several times earlier.
Givi Khvedelidze won 2,127,000 GEl in one of the slot clubs in Chiatura in 2009. The slot club administration refused to issue the money asserting the machine was out of order and the special expertise should have checked it.
After the refusal of the administration, Megrelishvili and Khvedelidze contacted a crime boss residing abroad, Roman Barbakadze nicknamed Remena, who tried to assist the two in taking the won money.
