The attempt of NATO to include Russia in a so-called democratic play is impossible in the current circumstances of present Russian government.
Levan Vepkhvadze, one of the leaders of the "Christian-Democrats" said in estimation of Andres Fogh Rasmussen, NATO Secretary General's recent visit to Moscow. "This is an attempt of NATO to drug Russia in the democratic play and to try to transform an enemy into a friend, to try this by talks. This is to make Russia not so dangerous for neighbors. But this aim is not real it cannot be achieved, following the today's Russian government and those people who are ruling in Russia. Officially the country is ruled by President Dmitry Medvediev and from the other point - Putin Prime Minister really rules together with the teams of secret service that are staffed in this government. Taking into account the mentality of such people I do not believe that any breakthrough is possible in relations, "- Vepkhvadze said.
He believes if such breakthrough will happen this will be only for good for Georgia, if Russia will not be a danger anymore for neighbors, for world and if Russia will change its motivation and aims. "Kremlin wishes to restore its influence over the post Soviet area, in such case the aims of NATO and Russia cannot be sharing, as the NATO was created namely against such possible danger, " - :MP said,
