A domestic passenger plane with 61 passengers and 7 crew members onboard crashed in central Cuba Thursday.There were no survivors.
The Aerocaribbean plane was carrying 28 foreign passengers and 40 Cubans.
The plane was traveling from the eastern province of Santiago de Cuba and heading to the country's capital of Havana.
The Civil Aviation Institute of Cuba said Flight 883 lost contact with air traffic controllers around 5:42 p.m. (4:42 p.m. ET).
Authorities were still trying to determine what caused the crash.
