The consultations between representatives of the Georgian government and opposition over improvement of election environment will begin in the nearest future.
Georgia's Parliamentary Speaker Davit Bakradze and Leader of ‘Free Democrats' Irakli Alasania met yesterday evening to discuss start of consultations on improvement of election environment.
The meeting was held in the parliament at the initiative of Bakradze. Bakradze agreed to appoint meeting in coming days by participation of the interested parts.
Bakradze proposed opposition to start negotiations over the issue several months ago. Opposition confirmed its readiness to take part in the dialogue, what was positively assessed by the government.
A total of 8 opposition parties to hold consultations with the government over election environment are ‘New Rightists', ‘Christian Democrat Movement, ‘Free Democrats', ‘National Forum', ‘Georgian Way', ‘People's Party', ‘Conservative Party' and ‘Republican Party'.
