EU Commissioner in Energy questions Gunter Ottinger will visit Georgia in spring of 2011. This information became known during the visit of Georgian delegation to Brussels, arriving there under the headship of Nika Gilauri, Prime Minister for the "Georgian energy conference".
In the conference Gunter Ottinger, EU Commissioner in Energy questions; Alexander Khetaguri, Energy Minister; international organizations; EU high ranks; private companies took part. On the conference after the PM Energy minister took the floor, who talked about the investment area in country, about the changes in view of inflow of investments to the country, about the changes made in the legislative area that will be promoting to the investments inflow to the country. He as well talked about the current projects and the possibility of construction of small and medium WPP (Water Power Plants). Minister said about the Black Sea transmission line construction.
Gunter Ottinger when taking the floor once more underlined the special strategic role of Georgia in implementation of energy projects. He as well upheld the full integration of Georgia to the EU market.
