A resolution in support of Georgia will be adopted as part of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly's 56th Annual Session being held in Warsaw, Poland, from Friday 12 November to Tuesday 16 November 2010.
The draft of the resolution has been already discussed at the sessions of committees of Security and Civil Dimension.
The Georgian delegation members are also attending the summit. Making of a speech by Georgia's Parliamentary Speaker Davit Bakradze is scheduled as part of the Session today.
The Session brought together in Warsaw some 220 parliamentarians from the 28 NATO member countries including from North America and Europe as well as delegates from partner countries and observers.
The parliamentarians will discuss common international security concerns; adopt the committee reports discussed during the Spring Session in Riga and issue recommendations.
Official Tbilisi prognosticates that the term "Occupation" will be fixed in the resolution. The Georgian side claims that the resolution text will have political importance for our country since it will once again call on Russia for de-occupation of Georgia's invaded territories.
Adoption of the resolution is very significant for Georgia several days ahead of the scheduled NATO Summit in Lisbon, Portugal.
