euronews/ An alleged Russian arms dealer has been extradited from Thailand to the US.
Reports say Viktor Bout has been flown out of the country after months of legal wrangling.
Earlier the Thai Prime Minister said his government had agreed to acknowledge an American extradition request.
Bout is wanted on terrorism charges and his detention in Thailand was due to expire this week.
The former Soviet air force officer has been accused of trafficking arms in conflict zones in Africa,
South America and the Middle East.
He was arrested in Bangkok in 2008 in a joint US-Thai sting operation.
Russian officials claim Bout is an innocent
businessman facing politically motivated charges.
It has warned that US-Russian relations could be affected by the case.
