Ethnic cleansing and occupation - these are the official terms written in the resolution on Georgia adopted by the NATO Parliamentary Assembly yesterday.
The 56th annual NATO Parliamentary Assembly was held in Warsaw, Poland.
The resolution welcomes the reforms, which were carried out in Georgia during the latest years.
There is underlined in the resolution that NATO reiterates its unconditional support for the sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of the internationally recognized borders of Georgia. The document appeals to Russia to fulfill the EU commitments - "Russia should withdraw its troops from Georgia, return IDPs to their homes and admit the international monitoring mission to the occupied territories".
The resolution was adopted ahead of the NATO Summit to be held in Lisbon, Portugal on November 19-20.
