Georgia's President Mikheil Saakashvili has pardoned 220 inmates in connection with St. George Day celebrated on November 23 in Georgia.
Khatuna Kalmakhelidze, Georgian Minister of Penitentiary, Probation and Legal Assistance claimed during a press conference that 182 prisoners would leave jails by the end of the day.
There is one juvenile and there are 12 inmates among the pardoned. The prison sentence for 3 prisoners was reduced by half. Three were lifted off conditional sentence.
