John Bas, newly appointed USA envoy to Georgia made a first declaration in connection with the conflict regions in Georgia.
"At this angle my policy is the same as the policy of President Obama. It was said many times before (it was said as well during the visit of Joe Biden, US Vice President to Tbilisi) that we never recognize Abkhazia and S. Ossetia as independent states. We will continue the support of Georgian territorial integrity and sovereignty. This is the main principle, which we defend always, "- said Biden in conversation with Rustavi2.
He as well noted that the problem has not to be resolved through the aggression and Georgian government has to develop the approach to the methods of return of the lost territories.
At the same time US envoy said that the overburden relations of USA with Moscow do not mean that these countries have no subjects upon which they disagree.
