The Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB) refused today to air the protest action at the Parliament on November 25 organized by the "Representative Public Gathering". Representatives of the Public Gathering applied to GPB officially asking to air the protest action. Director General of the GPB Gia Chanturia said no political party or movement has a right to give directions how to make protest actions aired. "We will try to give full information for the population about this gathering. But how it will be presented in the broadcasting - will it be a live or record this is a question only for our consideration, "- Gia Chanturia said.
He noted that more completely the second channel of GPB will broadcast the protest actions, as it is more politicized. However in this case still the heads of the TV will decide the form of the broadcasting.
The "Public Gathering" categorically demanded the "live" for more objective and fair picture for people living in the regions.
