The official Paris upholds the peace initiative of President Saakashvili and calls Tbilisi and Moscow to resume dialogue.
The news agency GHN was informed from the Embassy of France this initiative of Saakashvili was responded by Michael Alio-Mari, State Minister of France, Foreign and European Affairs Minister: "France welcomes the obligations taken by the Georgian President in Strasbourg before the EP on Tuesday about never use of force for the taking control over Abkhazia and S.O. and against Russian Army being there, "- the declaration reads. At the same time France upholds Saakashvili in his readiness to negotiate with RF. "Such obligations are the definite steps for the establishment of peace in the Caucasus, "- the document reads. In this context France calls all parties in Geneva negotiations to trust this peaceful initiative; to free the prisoners and to allow the free movement of international observers throughout all territory of Georgia." France calls again the RF to fulfill obligations taken in 2008 August and September. France as well calls Georgian and Russia to resume the dialogue. France always respected the independence, territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia within the internationally recognized borders, "- the statement reads.
