World's greatest tenor Placido Domingo will perform in a concert today in Batumi, administrative capital of Georgia's Adjara region. The concert will take place at Piazza square.
Maestro will perform 14 opera arias. The program includes works of Gioachino Rossini, Gaetano Donizetti, Giuseppe Verdi, Richard Wagner, Jules Massenet, Umberto Giordano, Franz Lehár, Ernesto De Curtis, Carlos Gardel, Federico Moreno Torroba, Pablo Sorozábal, George Gershwin, Jose Alfredo Jimenez.
The Georgian opera stars Lado Ataneli, Paata Burchuladze, Eteri Lamoris - Chkonia, Nino Machaidze and Nino Surguladze will also sing during the concert. Eugene Kohn will be the conductor.
Some 2,000 guests will attend the concert, which will begin at 7 PM. Everything is already ready for the concert. The stage and equipment were installed last evening.
