One of the sensitive documents obtained by this edition reads the position of an USA diplomat who said that originally Georgia has not an aim to fight with Russia. One more material published by this edition touched the conversation of USA State Department Aide with French expert. At the meeting that takes place in September of 2009 Philippe Gordon talks about the necessity for support for Georgian side. In turn the French political scientist was concerned about the frequent provocations in the territorial waters of Georgia. According to the information the representative of Sarkozy's government was strongly advising the Georgian party not to be provoked. "All existing information gives to us the basis to think that the war was not an aim of Georgia. Georgian high officials at this time were on summer holydays. Georgia declared the mobilization of the army only on August 7 when the attack from Russian Federation was already performed. The attack on Tskhinvali was started after the Ossetian party bombed the Georgian villages," - Wikileaks reads according to the obtained materials.
In 2008 August John Taft, USA envoy to Georgia notified the Washington: "Georgia took the military measures for the self-defense and the public security.
