Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili met with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev. The meeting was held in Astana, in the frames of the OSCE summit, about an hour ago. The meeting was conducted behind the closed doors. Parties discussed the bilateral relations. Most likely Saakashvili will hold some other meetings as well in Astana.
For information, in Astana after the 11-years pause, the OSCE summit is taking place. This is a 70th meeting of the organization. Representatives of 61 member and partner states are here, 28 of them are Presidents. Kazakhstan is the first post soviet country that became a chairman country by the rotation principle for OSCE summit.
The summit participants will talk about conflicts, one of the discussion themes will be Russian-Georgian conflict and the occupied territories in Georgia.
