Businessmen are asking the government to be involved in the foreign investments inflow. The Business Association members were talking today with the Economic Minister Vera Qobalia during 1.4 hours.
Giorgi Chirakadze, President of the Business Association said the Association will become a basis for business that will connect the Georgian business with international investors.
"We discussed with the Economic Minster on how the local business may be involved in the inflow of foreign investments. The government and the local business has to work together for the foreign investments inflow. When the members of the government while being abroad, are getting the suggestions from investors for investing in our country, our Association has to make a basis for such investors to connect Georgian businessmen with foreign investors to help them to find an appropriate partner. Very often the problems are arising when Georgian businessman cannot find an appropriate partner, "- Giorgi Chirakadze said.
Economic Minister is as well content with the meeting admitting that she will establish a joint group with business representatives that will be oriented to the business problems regulation.
"It is important to continue such meeting to introduce to the business those obligations that we have for the 2011. We agreed to establish the joint group that will consist of Economic Ministry's Investment Agency and Business Association members, this group will review the problems that business is facing, "- Vera Qobalia said. The Georgian export catalogue will be created that will be presented to foreign investors and partners.
