European Parliament published new report on the Georgian occupied territories. This time the Human Rights Committee made its estimation. Members of EP say that the 2008 August war victimized hundreds of peoples' life and thousands of people homes. The Committee expressed its concern over the violation of humanitarian norms during this conflict. The violations will not be left without punishment the document reads.
The report as well underlined that Russia as yet did not fulfilled the Sarkozy-Medvedev 6-point agreement on cease-fire. The report underlined that the annihilation of the Georgian villages was carried out predetermined.
"The Georgian question is so important it will be on agenda long time. The international organizations will constantly remind to Russian Federation that it has occupied the Georgian territory and has obligations that are to be fulfilled, "- Gigi Tsereteli, MP said to journalists.
