Russia considers that the peace initiative suggested by Georgia does not have any touching points with Russia. Nino Kalandadze, Deputy Foreign Minister said today on the traditional governmental briefing.
"This was a first round of negotiations after Georgia declared the peace initiative. Accordingly, our expectations and that of international community were very high. Nevertheless the other party of the conflict - Russia has an inadequate reaction instead of expected constructive steps, "- Kalandadze said.
She said hat Russian party tries to drug the occupational line deeper into the country and to strengthen even more the steps for legitimizing on the occupied territory. Russia believes that the peace initiative does not needs responding steps from Russia. Kalandadze informed that the main task for Russia now is to persuade the international community to put pressure over Russia for fulfilling the obligations.
