Garegin Second, Cathalocos of All Armenians discussed with MPs in European Parliament and with Tomas Poreboy, Aide in Armenian questions range of questions among them the problem of Armenian Churches in Georgia, GHN reports. The question of Karabakh conflict regulation was discussed, the annihilation of the Armenian cultural heritage in Azerbaijan, the return of the Armenian Churches on the Georgian territory and the problem of the status of the Georgian eparchy of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
In Georgia presently two Armenian Churches are that are functioning and 5 Armenian Churches in the central region of the city that are not functioning. The question of passing such monuments to Armenian side Georgian party considers as problematic one.
The other question is as well the refusal of Tbilisi to recognize the legal status of Georgian eparchy of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
The parties discussed the activity of Armenian Apostolic Church and its strengthening.
