I think that our biggest mistake was that we became more and more distant from the Russian politics. What I mean? I mean that we are not talking with each other anymore, - Nino Burjanadze said in her interview with Echo Moscwi. "The participation in such occasions is very good for the regulation of Russian-Georgian relations and moreover each of us must make every effort to prevent tragedies as in 2008 was, "- Nino Burjanadze said. She posed a question to the Georgian government - "If they believe that we have not to talk with Russia, and no relations must be established with Russia, then why the declarations are made that the Georgian government is ready with any preconditions to resume negotiations with Russian Federation? Why such declarations are made by Georgian government?" She accused the Georgian government in insincerity.
"I believe that they are not sincere in connection with RF. From the one point they are declaring that the dialogue with Russia is necessary and from the other point they are taking such decisions that are very irritating for Russia. I can say our biggest mistake was that we refused a dialogue and we more and more became distant from Russian politics." - Burjanadze said.
