The Russian Duma may ratify the strategic armament may ratify the agreement on Strategic Armament with USA on December 24. Konstantin Kosachov, Chairman of Foreign Relations Committee of Russian Duma said.
"The ratification of this agreement is very important not only for USA security but as well for the relations between our countries and for the whole region. This step will influence the world processes and among them the non spreading of the nuclear weapon. This is a problem for the world, "- Kosachov said.
We remind you that USA Senate ratified today the Agreement on Strategic Offensive Armament. The document was passed by 71 votes against 26. The prolongation of the ratification of the document was caused by the Republicans since May this year. The document is for 10 years period that is signed by USA President Barak Obama and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev. The treaty stipulates cut of nuclear arsenals twice.
