Russian Patriarchy dissiminated the specuial information in connection with the visit of Nino Burjanadze, leader of Democratic Movement - United Georgia .
The official declaration of Russian Patriarchy reads, the meeting was held under the initiative of Nino Burjanadze, who attended Moscow for the opening ceremonial of the monument for soldiers died in the WWII on December 21.
Patriarch Kirill noted that any meeting with guests arriving from Georgia is very nessesary and very desirable. He noted that efforts must me made for the restoration of the relations and its improvement.
"I am not discussing relations between the people; this is not nessesary to anybody to change these relations to the worse or to the better. These two people are living geographically in neighbourhood are connected with the same fate, that sometimes is tragic. At the basis of these relations our common belief is laid, "- Kirill said.
He said that despite non existence of the diplomatic relations between our countries the Gerogian and Russian churches are interrelating actively.
Patriarch said that before the meeting with Nino Burjanadze he once more analised the relations between two churches and concluded that at the background of the negative events between states no such intensive relation has the Russian Church with other countries churches.
Russian Patriarch believes that Russian and Georgian Churches will back the come out from the difficult situation. He as well pays a big attention to the development of ties between politicians, culture and society representatives.
