In 2010 the BSANNA (Black Sea Association of National News Agencies) will head Georiga, the information agency GHN. According to the rules of the Association the assembly will be conducted in Georiga. The decision was taken by the General Assambly, after the ballot in Bulgaria, particularly in Sofia and in Veliko Tornovo.
The Association has had to choose between Georgia (GHN) and Russia (ITAR TASS), but after the consultations between parties the decision was taken in favor of Georgia. The sitting of the Genral Assambly attended Gocha Mirtskhulava, director of the information agency GHN and Temur Chumburidze, Editor-in -Chief. They informed us that after the negotiations it was decided that in the frames of the General Assambly Matiash Vince, President of European Information Agencies and Erik Nevilits will visit Georiga.
"We have to exploit the possibility to show to the world the potential of Georiga. To talk about the problems, in which we need a support, "- Mirtskhulava said. He noted that Georiga will visit not only Black sea countries but as well the leading EU countries information agencies heads. This, no doubt will be a very big support for the defence of democracy in our country and the freedom of speech.
"In the frames of the Assambly the meetings will be held between representatives of Georigan government and the representatives of business circles. Now, we have a great chance to show our touristic and economic potential as Georiga will visit more than 20 information agencies heads, "- Mirtskhulava said.
We remaind you that from October 30 to Novermber 3 in Bulgaria in Sofia and Veloko Ternov the Black sea (BSANNA) and Balkanian coutries (ABNA) national informational agencies General Assambly was held. From Georiga the news agency GHN will take part in the assembly.
The organizers of the assembly are BTA and the Srbian National Agency TANJUG.
