USA is concerned with the human rights violations in Russian Federation. Mark Toner, representative of USA State Department said commenting the Mikheil Khodorkovsky's case.
"USA is concerned with the human rights violations in Russian Federation and will discuss this question with Russian government, "- he said. He believes that despite of this the Khodorkovsky's case will not affect the Russian-USA relations. The disagreements in some questions he said will not affect the question of cooperation of Russia and USA. "We have open, sincere relations with Russian Federation, are the areas were we have different opinions, but as well are areas where we are cooperating constructively. We reached the agreement on strategic offensive armament reduction, "- USA diplomat said.
For information, the Russian government accuses Mikhail Khodorkvsky in illegal appropriation of oil and money laundering. The Procurator's Office demands 14 years of imprisonment.
