Mikhail Saakashvili, President of Georgia said he has no right to make any comments about the arrest of two businessmen from Israel before the accomplishment of the court hearings, GHN reports.
"The President believes that before the accomplishment of the court hearing he has no right to make comments in connection with the Israeli businessmen, "- Manana Manjgaldze, Press Center head said. She does not noted if presidents of Georgia and Israel discussed this question over the phone.
For information, the Israeli businessmen Roni Fuks and Zeva Frenkel were arrested in Batumi in one of the elite restaurants in October last year during the meeting with the Deputy Finance Minister Avtandil Kharaidze. The businessmen tried to bribe Deputy Finance Minister (suggesting USD7 mn) in turn to the court decision refusal according to which Fuks and Frenkel were sentenced for 2 month of imprisonment.
Businessmen are incriminated according to the Article 339 of Georgian CC part 3
