Zaza Gabunia, deputy chairman of Human Rights Committee in Sakrebulo, member of "Christian-Democrats" said Refugees Minister should face the liability.
Gabunia declared this on today's briefing. The Christian Democrats condemns facts affecting the human dignity and violating human rights that took place during the eviction of refugees from its places of residence in the state-owned buildings in Tbilisi.
"The Ministry violated Article 6 of the Standard Operation Procedures, according to which the Ministry was prohibited from calling police for eviction as refugees were not satisfied form the government with compensation for purchasing of accommodation. At the same time refugees rights were violated as they were informed about the eviction only a few hours before the operation. As well the eviction happen in the circumstances degrading the human dignity and violating the human rights, " - Gabunia said. He calls the international organizations to take into consideration such inhuman facts committed by the Refugees Ministry and to qualify them in accordance with the law. He demanded as well in the frames of the process of relocation of the state establishments to relocate the Refugees Ministry to Zugdidi, were the newly settled refugees will be able to communicate with the organization. The declaration of Christian Democrats was sent to all dip missions in Georgia and international organizations.
