Lasha Chkhartishvili, member of Conservative Party said refugees are in a catastrophic situation.
"For the last 3 days after the eviction of refugees from 11 state-owned buildings more than 1000 persons were evicted by the official information. In fact 2 000 refugees were evicted. And more 2 000 will be evicted, "- Chkhartishvili said in conversation with GHN.
He said the police intentionally took refugees to police to threaten them. They were arrested and fined for disobedience. Chkhartishvili underlined that the Tbilisi population has limited solidarity with refugees. "If the dwellers of the city will not defend refugees today they will appear in the same situation tomorrow for nonpayment of taxes they will be evicted from own homes, "- Chkhartishvili said. He underlined that the protest actions at the President's residence is not accidental, they wish to show that President having hundreds of rooms in his palace cannot give anything to IDPs.
