On January 31 EU Foreign Ministries session will discuss the question of imposition of sanctions for Belarus. The information is disseminated by Russian media based on the source in EU. 27 representatives of the EU took decision on imposition of sanctions against Belarusian President Alexander Luashenko and Belarusian government.
They said sanctions will touch its arrival restrictions to EU. The declaration was announced by Foreign Minters of Hungary and Sweden. EU believes that public officials of Belarus are responsible for the violent treatment against opposition. The public officials blacklisted by EU
exceeded 100.
For information, on December 19 of 2010 organizes of public protest after the Presidential elections in Belarus were arrested with the allegation in public disorders. Acting President of the Belarus Alexander Lukashenko remained on his post. To be noted that for the last two days Lukashenko took the decision to release detained ex-candidates for Presidency. He made this probably in expectation of easing
of sanctions against him.
