Mikheil Khodorkovsky, ex-CEO of Yukos wrote an open letter to Dmitry Medvedev. This makes the Russian president to feel "inconvenient". Sentenced for 14 years of imprisonment, Khodorkovsky did not ask the President for pardoning. But he said that "soon all country will fail". The information is provided by the British newspaper "The Times".
The newspaper informs that he suggested to Medvediev to restore the Justice in the country and cease corruption. Otherwise he warns that Russia will fail. He warns the President that the corrupted Justice system will lead the country to the irrevocable consequences. He calls the President to resist to the pressure from power system. In other case he said the gape between citizens and government will deepen, as a result people will have no other choice but to protest on the streets.
The newspaper informs that Medvediev with his inactivity, did not justify hopes of Liberals. They hoped for the weakening of Puin's authoritative regime. Khodorkovsky said that despite of the opinion that Medvediev have no real power in the country, he as a President of RF is a "guaranty for the defense of rights and liberties of its citizens". "The nihilistic approach of Judges, the frivolous interpretation of the Criminal Code is a clear example of the violation of rights," - he wrote in his open letter. He reminded to the President his speech during the inauguration, when he promised to "abolish the legislative nihilism in the country". He said the second Court decision for the Yukos case is a demonstration of the practice of extortion and power redistribution in Russia.
