From today February 2 the European Court of Human Rights will continue proceedings in the Georgia v. Russian Federation case. This time the Russian party's witnesses will be questioned.
The Moscow has 10 witnesses presented before the Court. Among them are several employers of Russian militia and migration service.
For information, in Strasbourg Court of Human Rights the hearing of the case against Russian Federation is pending. The case touches question of 2006 mass deportation of Georgian citizens from RF on the ethnical ground. During two days Court questioned several victims of Georgian party. The European Court of Human Rights in connection with the case Georgia v Russian Federation questioned Mathias Yiorsh, PACE monitoring committee speaker and Giorgi Tughushi, Georgian Public Defender. The Georgian delegation being in Strasbourg said this was a Court's decision to question them. Except of the citizens deported form RF in 2006, Zurab Pataridze, Georgian Consul in RF at that period, was questioned.
