Mikheil Saakashvili , President of Georgia said it is not necessary to begin the dialogue with Russian Federation with Putin or Medvedev at first stage. Georgian President said this in his interview with German "Der Tagesspiegel". He underlines the necessity of Germany as a mediator in the Georgian-Russian dialogue opening.
"Usually Russians are not avoiding me... The Germany has to use its contacts and to say to Russia to refuse confrontation. To stop the dislocation of military armament at the borders of Georgia. It has to make efforts for reopening of dialogue... Georgia wished the peaceful negotiations even on the background of occupied territories. It is not necessary to hold the very first meeting with President Medvediev or Prime Minister Putin. This time the rank does not has a decisive point. Georgia would be very grateful if Germany will conduct such mediation with Russia," - Sakashvili said. He said in such case Georgia will avoid any confrontation, but in the region as well other forces are. "Any contact is better than confrontation. Nevertheless Moscow acts as if are not interested with the Georgian government."
