The modernization plan for Georgia, presented by President Mikhail Saakashvili at his annual report in Parliament was a real surprise for society, Georgian political scientist Soso Tsiskarishvili said, GHN reports.
"During his presentation in Parliament we were witnesses of a big surprise that is about the modernization of Georgia. Usually when making public such plan very active discussions are held beforehand. But in our country the exclusive right for modernization has only government, "- expert said in his conversation with GHN.
At the same time presenting the long term plan for development government deprived our citizens for the right to optimism till 2015. The new date for hope for the better future was announced - 2015. This denotes that in 2012, 2013 and 2014 any optimism is annihilated, "- political scientist said.
He criticized the part of Saakshvili's report were he said that in Georgia corruption and monopoly does not exist. The WBDR published report indicating that 68% of business activity in Georgia is corrupted. Touching the question of monopoly, he wonders as well why one and the same medicine in Georgia costs twice as expensive as in Istanbul.
