European Parliament may impose sanctions against Russian Federation. Such declarations were heard from MPs yesterday at the sitting. They are demanding to establish special group that will be oriented to achieve results and consist of Russian representatives from Justice and Interior Ministries alongside with the EP representatives.
"It is a fact that happenings of human rights violations are usual in Russian Federation, as well a pressure over the civil society. The unbearable corruption and injustice forced 300 people last year to leave the country. I am addressing to the Council to impose sanctions against Russian politicians. The organization is obliged to pass such resolution. We cannot have the normal relations with Russian Federation till such situation is in Russia. Let's be frank,"- Christine Ojulanda, member of European Parliament said.
According to Vaston Grahem, one more representative of EP, - sanctions against Russia should be very rigid. "I believe that the Council will take decision according to which Russian public officials will be sanctioned. The sanctions should be very rigid. Its bank accounts must be frozen in European banks; we should not allow them to educate its children in our schools and Universities; we should not allow them to spend money which they get illegally in our resorts. We are treating in such way with all leaders and its public officials, why should not we do the same with Russians. They must not be an exception, "- Graham said.
MPs consider that despite Russia is an important partner, it should not be pardoned for ‘killed journalists and public defenders, for false Justice and corrupted Judges.'
